The Zimdays Yearbook

The Zimdays yearbook is an online magazine created to 'remember the days'. Every year from 1888 to 2003 has a dedicated page. Here you can read, recall and experience our country over time.

  • What happend in Zimbabwe in 1903? or 1987?
  • Follow the journey of the country over the last 115 years.
  • Want to remember those radio and TV hits from the 1970s and 1980s? We have listings of the top TV, radio for the last 50 years.

Experience a decade..

You can easily move from decade to decade in the yearbook using the timeline at the top of this page.

For instance, to get to the 1950s, click '1950' on the timeline.

Once there you can easily move from one year to another in the 1950s.

You can view for example 1956 by clicking that year (or any other in the 1950s) on the 1950s timeline that you will get once you have selected the 1950s decade.

Experience as many years or decades as you like using the timeline.

Tell it through your eyes

Were you there at Bob Marleys independance concert in 1980?

Do you remember an early Highlanders match in 1966 when they were founded?

Perhaps your grandfather watched the first areoplane land in the country in 1920.

Zimdays offers a unique opportunity to add your experiences of Zimbabwe through the years.

You can easily submit your memories and experiences to each year, to share with other members.

At the end of each year use the 'add your memories' link and tell it through your eyes - you can even submit pictures for us to display.

If you think we missed a pivotal event please add it to the memories of that year or contact us at content@zimdays.com. If we can verify the item, we will do our best to include it.
