happy childhood memories...

happy childhood memories
I began school in Chakari where my father Norman Nottle was teacher/headmaster. I remember the bottle green school dresses and green felt hats!!! I also have fond memories seeing Sulana le Roux and family coming to school on their horse and cart and the times when my dad was called upon to help locate the horse when it had run away during lessons, leaving everyone stranded. My Mum (Jean) and a close friend (Maureen Taute) opened up a green grocers shop called Rondavaal Stores and they made hamburgers on a Saturday which my dad delivered to the mine. I still have wonderful friends from Chakari days whom I am still in contact with; Glenn Taute, the Bedinghams and Janet Cloetee and family to name but a few
